Returns Policy

This policy sets out your right to return artwork purchased from Budini and how the process works. It applies to all online and distance sales made by Budini (operated by Anastasia Budieva, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom).

Your right to cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer purchasing at a distance, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the artwork, without giving a reason.

This right does not apply to commissioned or bespoke artwork (see below).

How to return an item

To cancel and return an artwork, please email info@budini.art within 14 days of receiving it. Include your name, the order details, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. We will reply with return instructions.

You must then send the artwork back to us within a further 14 days of notifying us.

Condition of returned items

Returned artwork must be:

  • In its original, unaltered condition

  • Securely repackaged in its original packaging, or equivalent protective packaging if the original is unavailable

  • Insured for its full value during return transit

We recommend using a tracked, insured shipping service. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Return shipping costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, except where the artwork is faulty, damaged in original transit, or not as described.

Refunds

Once we receive the returned artwork and confirm it meets the condition requirements above, we will issue a full refund of the artwork price within 14 days. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

Original outbound shipping and crate costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a fault on our part.

Commissioned and bespoke work

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to artwork that has been commissioned, personalised, or made to your specifications. Once a commission has been agreed and work has begun, the order cannot be cancelled and deposits are non-refundable, except where the artwork delivered is materially different from what was agreed or arrives faulty.

Specific terms for each commission will be set out in writing before work begins.

Damaged or faulty items

If your artwork arrives damaged or is faulty, please contact us at info@budini.art within 7 days of receipt, including photographs of the damage and packaging. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund. We will arrange and pay for the return of damaged or faulty items.

International orders

The cancellation rights described in this policy reflect UK law. Customers based outside the UK may also have rights under their local consumer protection laws. Customs duties and import taxes already paid on returned items are not refundable by us.
